Viable Vitreous Grafts of Whole Porcine Menisci for Transplant in the Knee and Temporomandibular Joints (Adv. Healthcare Mater. 22/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Vitrification Preserved in a vitreous state at ultra-low temperatures without ice crystal formation, the viable whole meniscus allografts in both knee and temporomandibular joints maintain clinic-level viability (≥70%), structural integrity and optimal mechanical function. These grafts provide outstanding transplantation alternatives to fresh donor tissue, making them excellent options for clinical applications.
