Abstract

Skin-on-chip platforms have integrated microfluidics, tissue engineering, biomaterials, and biosensors to recapitulate the skin structure and function, and develop skin grafts and biomimetic skin diseases. Skin-on-chip disease models can be potentially used in environmental safety testing, drug discovery, and pharmaceutical development. This scientific field is reviewed by Amir Sanati-Nezhad and co-workers on page 2459.
