Unraveling Mixed‐Defect Transformations and Passivation Dynamics in Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cells (Adv. Funct. Mater. 40/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cells In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202508814), Hee-Eun Song, Ka-Hyun Kim, and co-workers uncover dynamic transformations of passivation-related defects in silicon heterojunctions, revealing two distinct configurations. Deposition conditions, layer stacking, and thermal annealing drive these defects deeper or shallower, directly influencing device performance and clarifying pathways for defect control in next-generation semiconductor devices.
