Abstract

On page 2891, H. V. Demir and co-workers show that nonradiative energy transfer (NRET) in hybrid thin films of solution-processed colloidal quantum dots and quantum wells is a function of the donor-to-acceptor molar concentration ratio and temperature, and achieve remarkably high NRET efficiencies (up to 94%). Highly linear response of NRET efficiency with changing temperature also makes this new hybrid system appealing for noncontact sensitive temperature probing.
