Streamlined Y6‐Analogs Enabling Efficient Ambient‐Air‐Processed Organic Solar Cells (Adv. Energy Mater. 19/2026)
Source abstract
Abstract
Organic Solar Cells Streamlined molecular engineering of Y6 analogs enables efficient organic solar cells processed entirely under ambient-air conditions. By simplifying the acceptor backbone while preserving favourable intermolecular interactions, the active layer exhibits balanced charge transport, reduced energetic disorder, and enhanced photo-conversion efficiency. This work demonstrates that rational structural simplification can simultaneously improve efficiency and processing tolerance, advancing practical and sustainable organic photovoltaics.
