Warm Metalworking for Brittle Liquid‐Nitrogen‐Temperature Thermoelectric Materials (Adv. Energy Mater. 42/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Thermoelectric Materials In article number 2503241, Zhenyu Pan, Tian-Ran Wei, Xun Shi, and co-workers reported Bi0.85Sb0.15 as the classic liquid-nitrogen-temperature thermoelectric material to show a low brittle-to-ductile transition temperature (448–473 K) and thus, it can be easily processed by warm metalworking such as extrusion, pressing, and rolling in an efficient and low-cost way. This will promote promising applications in miniaturized and hetero-shaped cooling for electronics and optoelectronics around liquid nitrogen temperature.
