Abstract

Multi-element chalcogenide materials offer property tunability coupled with effective photovoltaic performance, yet are susceptible to cationic crystallographic disordering leading, for example, to large voltage deficit in Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4-based devices. In article number 1602366, David B. Mitzi and co-workers propose multiple pathways to address this fundamental issue within potentially scalable chemical systems composed of earth-abundant metals.
