Perovskites: Navigating Organo‐Lead Halide Perovskite Phase Space via Nucleation Kinetics toward a Deeper Understanding of Perovskite Phase Transformations and Structure–Property Relationships (Small 26/2015)
Source abstract
Abstract
Organo-lead halide perovskites couple excellent photophysical performance with low-temperature processing. On page 3088, A. K.-Y. Jen and co-workers explain how interactions between the labile lead iodide framework and the methylammonium cation engenders this unique behavior, but also complicates the phase transformations mediating perovskite growth. This illustration shows paths through color coded phases separating a precursor solution (turquoise) from the desired perovskite (red). These 3D percentage composition curves represent the system as it evolves from different deposition conditions through time towards the desired end at the center.
