Double-Pulse Laser Direct Writing-Induced Crystallization and Luminescence Enhancement of Perovskite Nanocrystals for In Situ Patterning
Source abstract
Abstract
Patterned perovskite films have attracted significant attention due to their outstanding optoelectronic properties, making them promising candidates for applications in information storage, encryption, and anti-counterfeiting. However, the luminescence quality of perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) processed by conventional laser direct writing (LDW) is still far from optimal due to the limited electron density limit. Here, we develop a double-pulse LDW method to enhance the crystallization quality and luminescence of perovskite NCs. Compared with single-pulse processing, double-pulse LDW enables electron interactions between two consecutive pulses, significantly improving energy utilization and overcoming electron density saturation. Remarkably, the photoluminescence (PL) intensity of perovskite NCs processed via double-pulse LDW is enhanced by up to 6-fold compared to single-pulse processing. The laser-patterned regions exhibit exceptionally bright and well-defined luminescence, demonstrating the application potential in high-resolution patterning, anti-counterfeiting, and information storage. This breakthrough in mask-free, high-resolution perovskite patterning not only represents an advancement in material processing technology but also helps for development of next-generation optoelectronic devices.
