Enhancing Luminescence and Thermal Stability of CsPbBr3 Quantum Dot Glasses through Doping with Eu3+ Ions
Source abstract
Abstract
Perovskite quantum dots with halogen elements (Cl, Br, I) have been extensively studied due to their unique optoelectronic properties. However, the spectral properties of luminescent materials continue to present challenges in perovskite quantum dot glasses. Here, Eu 3+ -doped CsPbBr 3 quantum dot glasses were successfully prepared. Meanwhile, optimizing the doping concentration of Eu 3+ significantly improved the formation of quantum dots and enhanced their fluorescence intensity. After a heating–cooling cycle, the CsPbBr 3:0.5% Eu 3+ glass still retained 95% of its initial value. By coating CsPbBr 3:0.5% Eu 3+ glass powder with red phosphor on a blue chip, a white LED with a CCT of 5417 K can be prepared. Therefore, Eu 3+ -doped CsPbBr 3 quantum dot glasses demonstrate significant potential as an efficient material for optical lighting applications.
