Abstract

Large‐grained photovoltaic was prepared by directional solidification. The as‐grown material had doping levels of , a minority carrier diffusion length of ∼1 μm, and a maximum efficiency of 6.4% in a sulfide‐polysulfide electrolyte under simulated AM2 conditions. thin films were also made by an elemental vacuum evaporation technique with observed efficiencies of 2%. These electrodes had high doping densities (⩾10 17 ), short diffusion lengths (∼0.05 μm), and recombination dominated I–V behavior.
