Abstract

Thermal Transistors In article number 2214939, Hiromichi Ohta and co-workers demonstrate solid-state thermal transistors that control the thermal conductivity (κ) of strontium cobaltite by electrochemical redox treatment. Oxidized SrCoO3 shows a higher κ of 3.8 W m−1 K−1 while reduced SrCoO2 shows a lower κ of 0.95 W m−1 K−1. The on/off ratio is 4, and it plays like the shutter of heat flow.
