Modeling of Complex Filaments Properties of High-Performance Fibers Under Tension Using the Trength Distribution of Monofibers

P. V. Mikheev, A. K. Lebedev, L. R. Borisova

A series of deformation diagrams of carbon, glass, and aramid fiber bundles (complex filaments) were predicted using the real strength distribution and the three-parameter distribution. The strength values were compared with the results of direct modeling using the experimental distribution and experimental data of filament manufacturers. The general appearance of the deformati…

Mathematical Modeling of Deformation Processes in Marine Polymer Ropes

A. M. Litvinov, A. G. Makarov, A. A. Kozlov

Expanding the application areas and operating conditions of marine ropes requires more thorough research into their deformation properties. Such research can be carried out using mathematical modeling of deformation processes, which include both viscoelastic relaxation and viscoelastic creep.

Theoretical and Experimental Studies of Composites Reinforced with Carbon Fabrics. Analytical Model, Modeling and Experimental Studies of Structure of Reinforced Composites

B. M. Primachenko

A method for predicting parameters of the structure of a reinforced composite based on epoxy-dian resin is described. The results of prediction of the structure parameters were validated by experimental data. The experimental data were processed using standard methods of the state system for ensuring the uniformity of measurements.

Production and Properties of Self-Cooling Polyacrylonitrile Films from Dimethylformamide Solutions

E. S. Sashina, V. M. Dedlovskaya, O. I. Yakovleva

The heat-regulating properties of polyacrylonitrile films with added microcapsules containing paraffin were studied. The difference in the surface temperatures of films without paraffin and with added (5 wt% and more) microcapsules reached 15-20°C upon heating to 100°C. Conversely, the heat accumulated by the fused paraffin was released during cooling of the films. The surface …

Abrasion Resistance of Flexible Composite Polishing Materials Based on Nonwoven Matrices Made of Fibers of Different Linear Density

O. V. Kozhevnikova, E. S. Bokova, A. V. Dedov, V. G. Nazarov

The abrasion resistance of composite materials obtained by varying the degree of impregnation of a nonwoven needle-punched fabric made from a mixture of polyethylene terephthalate fibers with linear densities of 0.22 and 0.66 tex with an aqueous polyurethane dispersion was investigated. Kinetic dependences of the mass reduction of the samples during abrasion on the degree of im…

Improvement of Mud- and Water-Repellent Properties of Materials with Chemical Fibers for Activewear and Special Clothing

V. V. Khammatova, R. F. Gainutdinov, E. A. Khammatova, D. V. Pushkar’

A method for improving the mud- and water-repellent properties of materials with chemical fibers to produce activewear and special clothing is discussed. Plasma modification of textile materials using a nonequilibrium, low-temperature, low-pressure plasma activates the fiber surface, producing a protective coating with better water- and mud-repellent properties than control sam…

Relaxation Properties of Strings for Sports Equipment

A. I. Stogova, V. V. Vasil’eva, O. A. Molokanova Moskalyuk

The relaxation properties of badminton strings made of polymer material are studied. Relaxation curves are obtained in a deformation range from 25 to 75% of the breaking elongation. The values of the relaxation process rate parameter are determined. Indicated that a string with a large elongation at break demonstrates higher values of internal stresses and relaxation process ra…
