Glass formation in the systems Ag2SeO3–M O and CuSeO3–M O (M O = B2O3, MoO3)
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine glass formation regions in the sections Ag 2 SeO 3 –M n O m and CuSeO 3 –M n O m (M n O m = B 2 O 3 , MoO 3 ). It is a continuation of our previous works where binary and multi component selenite glasses with the participation of non-traditional network formers such as: MoO 3 , V 2 O 5 , TeO 2 and Bi 2 O 3 have been obtained. The existence of several structural units SeO 3 , MoO 4 , MoO 6 , CuO 4 and BO 3 , forming the amorphous network have been determined by IR spectroscopy. Conclusions about the glass-forming tendency in the Ag 2 SeO 3 –M n O m and CuSeO 3 –M n O m (M n O m = B 2 O 3 , MoO 3 ) systems are drawn on the basis of their structural peculiarities.
