Dielectric characteristics of Sr substitution on Ca0.4Sm0.4TiO3 ceramics at microwave frequency
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract Effect of strontium substitution on microwave dielectric behavior and sintering conditions of Ca 0.4 Sm 0.4 TiO 3 (0.01≤ x ≤0.1) ceramics were investigated. The sintering temperature was significantly lowered from 1450 °C for pure Ca 0.4 Sm 0.4 TiO 3 to 1370 °C for x >0.03. Notably the dielectric constant of (Ca 0.4− x Sr x )Sm 0.4 TiO 3 ceramics also improved with increasing x content and the Qf value also remained over 10,000 GHz with 0.01≤ x ≤0.1. The resultant dielectric properties have made Ca 0.4 Sm 0.4 TiO 3 ceramics as very interesting materials for microwave communication and passive component applications.
