Abstract

Abstract ZrO2 based Metal-organic Frameworks (MOF) were fabricated through a one-step colloidal method. Pt nanoparticles were deposited on MOF by Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), and the mass percentage of Pt was controlled by the deposition cycles. The morphology of MOF/Pt composites was investigated by TEM, and the interaction between Pt and MOF was investigated by XPS. The photocatalytic performance of the MOF/Pt composites was investigated by degrading RhB in its aqueous solution. The results showed that Pt could effectively increase the photocatalytic activity of MOF. The mechanism investigation showed that the increased photocatalytic activity of MOF/Pt composites could be attributed that the presence of Pt nanoparticles facilitated the electron/hole separation and prevented electron/hole recombination during the photocatalytic reaction.
