Three dimension Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4/BaFe12O19@carbon composite for light weight, strong absorption and broadband microwave absorbents
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract In this work, a strategy for coupling Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4/BaFe12O19 with rod-like carbon composites was constructed for high performance microwave absorption. The Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4/BaFe12O19@carbon absorbents were successfully synthesized using in-situ polymerization followed by carbonization. Compared with traditional absorbents, NZFO/BFO@C showed superior electromagnetic wave absorption properties. The multiple interfaces, ratio of two phase and synergistic effect endowed NZFO/BFO@C composite with ideal dielectric and magnetic losses. When the NZFO/BFO phase was 20 wt%, the NZFO/BFO@C composite with 2.5 mm thickness revealed optimal microwave absorption performance. The RLmax of −61.91 dB was obtained, and corresponding EAB reached 9.8 GHz, almost covering the total K-band and Ku-band. Ideal experiment results indicate the three dimension NZFO/BFO@C absorbents possess application prospect in the military and civilian fields.
