Growth behavior and controllable morphologies of NaNbO3 superfine particles synthesized by hydrothermal method
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract In the work, the synthesis of NaNbO3 superfine particles connected with the surfactants and hydrothermal conditions was carefully studied. Based on the model of periodic bond chain (PBC), growth behavior and associated morphologies of NaNbO3 were discussed. The surfactants and hydrothermal conditions obviously changed growth velocity of specific crystal faces, resulting in different morphologies of NaNbO3 (such as nanowires, hexagons and octahedrons). Heat treatment also had important influences on growth behavior of NaNbO3 and periodic superlattice consisting of trigonal and orthorhombic NaNbO3 was investigated after calcined. Morphology-controlled NaNbO3 superfine particles synthesized by hydrothermal method could be used for diverse applications, and periodic superlattice of NaNbO3 guarantees its potential application as nonlinear optical devices.
