Abstract

Abstract The effect of sintering atmosphere on the structure and dielectric properties of Bi 2 O 3 –ZnO–Ta 2 O 5 (BZT) system material has been investigated. The study shows that the sintering atmosphere has little effect on the phase structure for Bi 2 O 3 –ZnO–Ta 2 O 5 system; the dielectric constants of the samples sintered in N 2 are larger than those sintering in air; the dielectric loss at low frequency increases and the microwave quality factor (Qf) decreases when sintered in N 2 . Furthermore, the temperature dependence of dielectric constant decreases subtly when sintered in N 2 .
