Supercapacitors: Design and Performance of Rechargeable Sodium Ion Batteries, and Symmetrical Li‐Ion Batteries with Supercapacitor‐Like Power Density Based upon Polyoxovanadates (Adv. Energy Mater. 6/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1701021, researchers from Xiamen University and the University of Glasgow, Quan-Feng Dong, Leroy Cronin and co-workers, demonstrate that polyoxometalate Li7V15O36(CO3) can be considered to be an “electron sponge” in several different types of electrochemical energy storage systems with high power and energy densities. The material can be readily extracted from spent electrodes, enabling a simple and highly efficient recovery process for cathode materials.
