Abstract

Front cover image: Solar-to-chemical conversion by mimicking natural photosynthesis via g-C3N4 for green energy generation is vital to developing sustainable society and environment. The leaf-like g-C3N4 represents photocatalysts for the production of H2, CO and NH3 chemicals with two origami boats carrying well-separated electrons and holes, respectively, to hinder charge recombination. In article number 10.1002/cey2.252, Wee-Jun Ong and co-workers report the state-of-the-art review of 0D/2D g-C3N4-based photocatalysts to restrain the bottleneck issues of pristine g-C3N4 with auspicious charge separation for applications in water splitting, CO2 reduction and N2 fixation.
