Abstract

Metal–organic framework (MOF)-derived materials have attracted extensive attention in the field of electromagnetic wave absorption (EMWA) due to their tunable structures and diverse compositions. However, current research remains largely focused on common metal systems such as Ni, Co, and Fe, while systematic investigations into non-oxidizing systems, particularly metal tellurides, are still limited. In this work, a hollow one-dimensional heterostructure FeTe2@NC (FTNC) nanorod composite was successfully constructed using rod-like MIL-88A as a self-sacrificing template through dopamine surface coating followed by controlled high-temperature tellurization. The heterogeneous rod-like structure promotes charge transfer and accumulation as well as uneven distribution, thereby increasing conduction loss and polarization loss. Consequently, when the thickness of FTNC-2 is 1.62 mm, an RLmin value of -26.20 dB and an enhanced absorption band (EAB) value of 4.96 GHz (13.04-18.00 GHz) are obtained. This study provides an effective method for developing heterojunction absorbers with exceptional electromagnetic properties while also offering valuable inspiration for future research on innovative component structure design.
