Laser desorption-ionization time of flight mass spectrometry ofvarious carbon materials

Ondřej Šedo, Milan Alberti, Jan Janča, Josef Havel

Abstract

Laser desorption-ionization of various carbon materials (fullerene C60, carbon nanotubes, synthetic diamonds etc.) results in the formation of positively and negatively charged sets of carbon clusters. None of the carbon clusters formed by laser interaction with above described carbon materials possess stable fullerene structure.
