A calculation method of energy intensity of brake lining wear as related to temperature
Source abstract
Abstract
The work presents an analysis of the significance of one of the brake lining parameters, namely the energy intensity of wear. The calculation procedure for variations in the given parameter and wear growth is described on the basis of test results of the brake mechanism using an inertial test bench. The calculation results obtained by the method proposed for a brake-shoe lining made of asbestos-free TEXTAR-T7400 composite are presented.
