Entre los muchos usos de los sopletes de planta, se presentan los siguientes: a) Corte y soldadura de metales, b) Recubrimientos protectores, c) Moldeo de cuerpos solidos, d) Superficies de elevada resistencia a la abrasion, e) Formacion de microesferas. f) Cermets, g) Reacciones de sintesis, h) Ensayos de materiales y sistemas. EnglishThe composition of plasmas, and the behaviour of gases at various temperature levels is explained. A brief account is given on the variation of thermal and electrical conductivities of gases with temperature. The arc torch and the high frequency torch are described together with the fundamentals of their operation.
