Abstract

Los resultados han demostrado que el metodo EDCAIS permite diferencias mayor cantidad de centros de adsorcion en las superficies estudiadas EnglishIn this work the resolution of the integral equation for the overall adsorption isotherm is presented that resolution is made according to our procedure of the EDCAIS algorithm (Energy Distribution Computation from Adsorption Isotherm Utilizing the Smoothing Spline Functions). This algorithms solves the integral equation by numerical methods using the quasi Langmuir isotherm corrected on the multilayer as the local adsorption isotherm. This method has been proved using three theoretical isotherms consisting on one, three and five guassian peaks. The EDCAIS method has been applied to three experimental systems, consisting of benzene as adsorbate and silicon carbide fibres, E-glass and E-y-APS as adsorbents. Energy Distribution Functions have been tested with those obtained using other methods. Results have shown that EDCAIS method gives distribution functions of best resolution of adsorption sites.
