Adsorción de n-alcanos en vidrio poroso a recubrimientos finitos
Source abstract
Abstract
The adsorption of n-alkanes on Porous Glass (PG) has been studied by means of gas chromatography. The n-alkanes were n-hexane, n-heptane and n-octane. Using the method of one peak adsorption isotherms have been determined at 35, 45 and 55°C. From adsorption isotherms the isosteric heats, entropies and free energies of adsorption have been calculated. The obtained heats of adsorption agree with previous works. The results showed that there exists a great interaction with PC when the number of atoms the alkane chain increases
