Materiales para óptica elaborados por el procedimiento sol-gel. II. Absorción y luminiscencia

Carmen Navarro

Abstract

The optical properties more investigated are without doubt the absorption and luminescence of materials produced via sol-gel. The matrix more considered has been the silica produced from silicium alcoxides obtained by hydrolysis-condensation. Recently, the preparation of new hybride materials is getting more interest with network both organic and inorganic structure, giving rise to luminescent films depicting good optical quality. We review all the possibilities of luminescent materials in sol-gel and laser matrices both containing organic and inorganic compounds
