Abstract

Development of Cai Mep Container Terminal, Vietnam Based on the dynamic economic growth in SE Asia and especially Vietnam's export‐oriented industrial sector, there are massive ongoing investments in port and maritime infrastructure. Thus, the development of the deep‐water port at Cai Mep, designed for super‐post‐panamax container vessels up to 400 m length, is a core project in this development. Due to the vessel size and subsoil conditions, special requirements within design and during execution under local conditions must be considered for the quay structure.
