Study on tire-pavement contact characteristics and tire vibration noise based on finite element numerical simulation
Source abstract
Abstract
Tire vibration noise is one of the main sources of tire-pavement noise, and accurate measurement of tire vibration noise is important. This study utilizes finite element simulation software Abaqus to establish a tire-pavement coupling model that simulates tire rolling behavior, obtains the tire surface vibration response, and uses it as the input condition for vibration noise analysis. Then, the effects of different factors on tire-pavement contact characteristics and vibration noise are explored. Results indicate that tire parameters, including vehicle speed, tire pressure, and load, as well as pavement parameters such as pavement stiffness, texture depth, and texture wavelength, have a certain impact on tire-pavement contact behavior and vibration noise. As speed, load, pavement stiffness, texture depth, and texture wavelength increase, vibration noise gradually increases, while vibration noise decreases with an increase in tire pressure. Grey correlation analysis shows that tire parameters have a greater impact on vibration and noise than road parameters.
