Abstract

In light of the bending–twisting coupled composite structure, the structural geometric parameters are considered as variables in this paper, and the research model is extended from the traditional constant cross-section boxed structure to the variable cross-section boxed structure. Based on the infinitesimal method and the deep learning method, the derivation of stiffness equation is realized for the variable cross-section boxed structure, and the accuracy of the analytical model can be controlled within 5%. Based on the analytical model, the optimization design of the variable cross-section boxed structure is further realized. The optimization results demonstrate that the bending–twisting coupling of boxed structure designed by the multicoupled laminates has the potential to increase to 70%, compared with those of the single-coupled laminates. With the increase of inclination angle of flanges and webs, the bending and torsion deformation of the variable cross-section boxed structure increases. Finally, the robustness of coupled stiffness of laminates and variable cross-section boxed structures are analyzed respectively, and the hygrothermal stability and bending–twisting coupling of boxed structures are verified by numerical simulation.
