Abstract

Denim is classic and iconic. Since its creation more than one hundred years ago, the fabric has continued to increase in popularity, not just for jeans but for other types of garments and accessories too. A 2018 report predicted the worldwide denim market would be worth US$79 billion by 2023, with growth being driven by several factors including continued expansion of e-commerce and further development of the clothing industry in the Asian region.1 So, why does the popularity of denim never fade?
