19. As most of the HTSCs are polytypoids, homologous phases with various numbers of CuO2 layers and boundary layers coexist. It is difficult to grow a single phase HTSC. The value cited here is from H. Ihara et al.: Nature 334, 510 (1988)

23. With the commonly used 1 atm. processing condition for YBCO, there are always some oxygen vacancies condensed at the twin boundaries, typically about two to three layers. (C.J. Jou, J. Washburn: J. Mater. Res. 4, 795 (1989)) A pure (1/3) i homologous phase would thus have an overall oxygen content of about 6.59

65. Equation (7) has a Lissajous-type relation between two frequencies. A more restricted resonance condition in the original resonance equation of [20] would require j/f a positive integer. Since f=1, 2 or 3, j/f=6i is required, where i is a positive integer, and the resonance equation becomes $$\omega _{\text{p}}^{{\text{CuO}}_{\text{2}} } = 6i\omega _{\text{r}}^{{\text{CuO}}_{\text{2}} }$$ . The near periodical absorptions above the gap in the tunneling measurements [J.F. Zasadzinski et al.: Physica C 162?164, 1053 (1989); L.H. Greene et al.: Physica C 162?164, 1069 (1989)] probably reflect a resonance condition related to the $$6i\omega _{\text{r}}^{{\text{CuO}}_{\text{2}} }$$ high frequency oxygen vibrations with selection rules to be exploited
