Abstract
The principles of Mssbauer spectroscopy and the hyperfine interaction parameters evaluated from Mssbauer spectra are summarized and discussed from the viewpoint of materials research. A study on iron impurity in aluminum has been described as a typical application of the S7 Fe Mssbauer spectroscopy in materials science.
