Corrosion-resistant linings used in the petrochemical industry
Source abstract
Abstract
Corrosion is an important factor in the service life of linings in the petrochemical industry. Corrosion has always been significant, but it is a worse problem now than it was 15 years ago. A state-of-the-art corrosion protection system has been developed which has shown good performance in the petrochemical industry. This paper reports on this system which is comprised of a potassium silicate-bonded cement coating applied over a chemical-resistant organic membrane.
