Attritor grinding of refractories
Source abstract
Abstract
The attritor, an attrition mill also referred to as a stirred ball mill, was introduced to the ceramic industry during the early 1980s. Since then, the attritor has been used for many advanced and high-tech ceramic applications. The attritor concept has been modified to minimize contamination and wear by taking advantage of media materials with special properties. The attritor has been redesigned during the past few years to a high-speed configuration for fine and efficient dry grinding. This is of special interest to the refractories industry.
