The physical properties and the antimicrobial activities of boron doped nimncosb shape memory alloys
Source abstract
Abstract
In this study perpetrated anew shape memory alloys is Ni 45 Mn 40 Co 5 Sb 10-x B x (at.%) (x = 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8) by Arc Melting method. The transformation temperature of alloys shifted to high temperature with increased in boron concentration. The activation energy at the austenite phase and martensite phase increased with increase boron concentration in alloys. Structural analysis by XRD for each alloy, found the alloy with boron content alloys exhibit martensite structure and this agrees with the results of DTA/TG and the DSC measurement. The surface analyses, it was observed by SEM images. The antimicrobial response depends on the type of metal. It was revealed that the antibacterial response at alloys is affected when antimony is substituted with boron. In light of this information, it can be interpreted that the alloy without boron element B0 is more biocompatible in terms of antimicrobial properties than other alloys used in this study.
