Abstract
Photoinduced Polymorphism of Fluorescent Organic Molecules in Solid State In article number 2301627, Zhiyang Liu, Quan Li, and co-workers exploit a new organic molecule that can form single crystals with different fluorescence colors. When the crystal is irradiated by using ultraviolet light, it can achieve in-situ fluorescence color changes from blue to chartreuse. During this process, the crystal does not undergo any chemical reaction, only the conformation and packing mode of the molecules are changed. Crystals can be melted under high-power ultraviolet light due to the presence of photothermal effect.
