Predicting the Excitation Dynamics in Lanthanide Nanoparticles (Advanced Optical Materials 14/2023)
Source abstract
Abstract
The experimental investigation and optimization of lanthanide nanoparticles are complex and resource-consuming endeavors. In article number 2300096, Simon Spelthann and colleagues describe a versatile modeling and simulation approach that reliably predicts the spatiotemporal dynamics of lanthanide nanoparticles allowing to replace experiments through numeric optimization. This is depicted as a mainboard with a central processing unit from which a hologram of an optimized nanocrystal arises. The background shows experimental information (size, doping) that is converted into digits and enters the computation.
