Abstract

A novel data-driven approach to examine “active disorder” for light is introduced by Jungmin Kim, Seungkyun Park, Sunkyu Yu, and Namkyoo Park (see article number 2102642). This work demonstrates a wave-oriented evaluation and design of active disorder by deep neural networks mapping the disorder state of a multilayer structure and the corresponding tunable optical responses. The result also provides an intriguing wave analogy of target control in network science.
