Abstract

A chiral color reflector film made of highly aligned helical nanofilaments can detect left- or right-handed chiral samples by naked eyes, as shown by Dong Ki Yoon and co-workers in article number 1901399. The chirality of the enantiomers in everyday substances, for example fructose and glucose, can be distinguished by the suggested way, which can be widely used for identifying and discarding unintended side effects of medicines or other chiral chemicals.
