Abstract

Mingzhu Li and co-workers (article number 1900127) have developed a general programmable layer-by-layer printing method which can direct-write high-resolution RGB pixel array patterns towards standard white lighting and elaborate luminescent patterns. The novel immersed self-assembly process makes the resolution low to submicron and the nanospheres are assembled into a highly ordered photonic crystal structure leading to brightly photonic crystal enhanced luminescence.
