Abstract

Yushi Chu, Jing Ren, Jianzhong Zhang and co-workers put forward a breakthrough method of glass making, termed “melt-in-melt” (article number 1800024). Phosphosilicate glasses with arbitrary ratio of SiO2/P2O5 were obtained. Because of the nearly unlimited possibilities in designing new glass compositions, there is a great degree of freedom in the topological engineering of the glass structures in both nano- and meso-scales.
