SERS: Ultrathin Plasmene Nanosheets as Soft and Surface‐Attachable SERS Substrates with High Signal Uniformity (Advanced Optical Materials 7/2015)
Source abstract
Abstract
Plasmene nanosheets can serve as a new class of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate. Being ultrathin, soft, elastic, and free-standing in nature, these plasmonic nanosheets can enable direct conformal contact with topologically complex real-world surfaces (eg., coins and banknotes) for chemical identification. On page 919, W. L. Cheng and co-workers show how this soft SERS substrate also offers high spatial signal uniformity and customizability of hotspots.
