Super‐Resolution Optical Imaging: Plasmonic Nanoprobes for Multiplexed Fluorescence‐Free Super‐Resolution Imaging (Advanced Optical Materials 20/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
Utilizing a distinctly different approach from conventional fluorescent stimulated emission depletion (STED) nanoscopy, Xiangping Li and co-workers (article number 1800432) demonstrate multiplexed fluorescence-free superresolution imaging of gold-nanoparticle labeled tumor cells. The superiority of this method in non-bleaching, high resolution, and ultra-low laser power for the application in complex bio-environments unfolds a long-sought strategy to battle the optical resolution.
