Hyperbolic media are very attractive for the application of light field manipulation due to their unique optical properties. In article number 1801616, Ting Xu and coworkers comprehensively discuss the working principle, realization and practical applications of two types of hyperbolic media, including three-dimensional bulk hyperbolic metamaterials and two-dimensional planar hyperbolic metasurfaces.
