Abstract

Strain manipulation of a hybrid graphene-integrated microfiber structure is investigated experimentally and theoretically. Because of the ultralong light–graphene interaction length (tens of millimeters), as much as 30% polarization-independent modulation with a moderate strain of 5% is achieved. This platform may provide new guidelines for designing flexible graphene-integrated devices.
