Roadmap to Precision 3D Printing of Cellulose: Rheology‐Guided Formulation, Fidelity Assessment, and Application Horizons (Adv. Mater. Technol. 8/2026)
Source abstract
Abstract
3D Extrusion Printing This cover image shows how direct ink writing (DIW) of cellulose-based inks enables diverse functional 3D-printed platforms. The nozzle and filament illustrate extrusion-based printing, where shear stress and viscosity control flow and ensure shape fidelity after deposition. The green structures highlight key applications reviewed, including aerogel-like architectures for water harvesting, paper-based microfluidics, 4D printing, EMI shielding, sensing, and biomedical scaffolds. More details can be found in the Review by Mohammad Arjmand and co-workers (10.1002/admt.202501324).
