Spatiotemporally Mapped Endothelial Dysfunction at Bifurcations in a Coronary Artery‐on‐a‐Chip (Adv. Mater. Technol. 8/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Spatiotemporally Mapped Endothelial Dysfunction In article number 2301596, Anna Waterhouse and co-workers present a bifurcating coronary artery-on-a-chip, culturing human cells under coronary flow conditions. This platform enables investigations into shear-dependent changes in protein expression and cell morphology under healthy and dysfunctional conditions, within a single field-of-view. This work improves our understanding of endothelial mechanobiology and can be used to interrogate heart disease-causing mechanisms further.
