3D Self‐Assembly: Remotely Controlled Microscale 3D Self‐Assembly Using Microwave Energy (Adv. Mater. Technol. 8/2017)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1700035, Jeong-Hyun Cho and co-workers present a novel self-assembly process using remotely controlled microwave energy to transform 2D nets into micro-scale 3D structures. Since microwave energy is remotely applied to microstructures, no physical contact between the stimuli (energy) source and the microstructures is required to trigger the folding process, which increases the manipulative ability of the self-assembly process.
